Most exterior parts for the TL are sold by year range, because the 2007 refresh changed the front bumper. Front lips come in 2004–2006 and 2007–2008 fitments, and the 2007–2008 Type-S has its own lip. A base-model 2007–2008 lip will not fit a Type-S.

Fiberglass or carbon fiber? Fiberglass is the more affordable choice and can be repaired if it gets nicked. Carbon fiber is lighter and comes with a gloss clear coat finish. Both are best installed by a body shop with aftermarket experience, and paint is not included on fiberglass parts.

Suspension: coilovers, lowering springs and alignment parts

Choose coilovers for adjustable ride height, or lowering springs for a simpler drop. Options include TruHart StreetPlus, H&R Street Performance and KW V1 coilovers, and H&R and Eibach lowering springs. H&R lists separate Base and Type-S versions, so match the listing to your trim.

Lowering changes your alignment. Adjustable rear camber and toe parts (Eibach and SPC Performance) and adjustable upper ball joints help correct a lowered TL.

Brake pads and rotors
